This is the first trip that Arielle took alone, not knowing anyone. She was pretty frightened, but when she came home she was so excited to tell us what a fantastic time she had, how great the guides were, and all the fun times. We definitely will send her again.

If I had to use one word to describe the friends I made, the things I did and the places I saw on Backpack Italy it would be incredible. One of the hardest things I had to do was say goodbye to the incredible friends I made. "Don't be upset, be grateful that it happened," was what I kept telling myself as the trip came to an end. I had such an incredible summer.

We greatly appreciated that our phone calls & e-mails were responded to promptly. Lena traveled “alone” but made friends in a short period of time. She loved that the counselors weren’t overly strict and gave the kids some freedom which is important at this age. The counselors were given high praise by our daughter. When your child comes back from a trip or from any experience with a wealth of stories, great memories, and good friends you know it was worth it.
